To enable a custom ebuild repository, create the proper repos.conf file and emerge it as shown here for the rage-overlay:

For using sync-type = git the package dev-vcs/git needs to be installed. Alternatively, layman can be used for adding the repository.

Revise to include the following:
- debian-sources (funtoo)
- android-sources (AOSP)
- Enable USE=build to automatically build kernel sources. (Alternatively, See USE flags "Binary"
- Enable USE_EXPAND for kernel features (Implemented via dkms)

Gentoo Releases should conform to open standards where possible and document the cases where they are not
- Create an overlay for compliance testing packages
- Add vi to Stage 1
