I don't know. I'm not a translator. I will look into this when I have time. - dcljr (talk) 08:50, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
Take a look at Template:Note and MediaWiki:Template-note with /xx subpages. In the end of we have this list --Cronolio (talk) 09:07, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
How are regular users supposed to implement this sort of thing, since we cannot edit pages in the MediaWiki: namespace? - dcljr (talk) 09:20, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

Add 'text' parameter?

In creating the pax page, and in the absence of a distinct page for "PaX" (i.e. the kernel hardening patch), i wanted to use the "Confused" template and link to "Hardened/PaX quickstart". However, the "Confused" template doesn't currently directly allow using a parameter to specify alternative display text, so i instead used a "Note" template and left an HTML comment in the page source noting that the "Confused" template should ultimately be used instead. But i now see that one can add a pipe to "Confused"'s only parameter in order to achieve the desired result. i (think i) understand why this works, but it feels like a user-unfriendly kludge to me, and i'd prefer to modify the template to explicitly support a 'text' parameter. i see there are pages making use of this kludge (e.g. "C-Sharp", "C++", "Usenet"), but afaict, support for a 'text' parameter could be added in a way that doesn't break those usages. Thoughts?

The Template:Confused/sandbox now has what i believe is a working implementation of a second anonymous parameter, which utilises a modified "Confused/core" template in a sandbox, Template:Confused/core/sandbox. Unless anyone notices any issues or has any objections, i'll apply the changes in a week or so, including updating the documentation accordingly.
