Discussion on Portage/Advanced

Forgive me for I am relatively new the contributing space, but is there a reason why you modified ulm's and my responses for the edit: https://wiki.gentoo.org/index.php?title=Handbook_Talk:AMD64/Portage/Advanced&diff=1315798&oldid=1315524

Is it because it doesn't add any value to the discussion? Is it something else?

i'm very disturbed by this: i didn't make all those edits. The only one of those edits i consciously did was to add my "Oh. Okay, thanks ..." response. i would never edit someone else's comments without a strong reason to do so (e.g. ad hominem attacks), and even in those cases i would first discuss the matter with Gentoo devs on #gentoo-wiki, because i'm not a Gentoo dev myself (whereas Ulm is); and i would approach the matter as per their wishes.

i can imagine accidentally selecting a block of text and then accidentally removing it, but this doesn't look like that.

i've just raised this matter on #gentoo-wiki. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Sorry about this.
