The developer template change in Special:Diff/1054758/prev by Brian Evans (grknight) doesn't account for the fact not all developers have commit access. For example, on Matthew Marchese (Maffblaster) 's page, the link just 404s. --Sam (talk) 14:10, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

While I didn't consider that aspect, it then requires policing of user profiles a manual process including those who never update their User page. Not yet sure the best course of action. --Grknight (talk) 14:33, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

Reverted for now while I consider other options. Maffblaster is the only developer who is active and has that value set to No at this time. There are 100 devs who are active and set to Yes (as of this writing). 130 devs in total are listed active with wiki accounts, so 30 are undefined at this time. --Grknight (talk) 14:55, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

For the record, even those who have commit access can 404 on the packages link if they don't individually maintain packages and only do so as a member of a project. For example: Johannes Huber (Johu) --Grknight (talk) 15:24, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

I return to this discussion after about a month. I'm thinking we can close it for now and reopen if there's anything that needs further discussion in the future... not seeing anything left 'todo' that's outstanding. Thanks, mates! --Maffblaster (talk) 22:45, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
