This discussion is done.
Putting masters = gentoo
into the the repos.conf section should not be necessary because it is given by the repositories' metadata/layout.conf.
Without it in
[elementary] location = /usr/local/overlay/elementary sync-type = git sync-uri = https://github.com/pimvullers/elementary.git auto-sync = yes
in an arbitrarily named repos.conf file, portageq reports it:
user $
portageq repos_config /
[elementary]
auto-sync = yes
location = /usr/local/overlay/elementary
masters = gentoo
strict-misc-digests = true
sync-type = git
sync-uri = https://github.com/pimvullers/elementary.git
But maybe, something with portageq is wrong? --Charles17 (talk) 23:29, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
- Not sure. I just know Portage was complaining about it when I added the elementary.git repo via the repos.conf method and tried to sync with emaint sync -r elementary from a fresh stage3 tarball. --Maffblaster (talk) 23:37, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
