I'd like to suggest this article Java User Guide to be deleted in favour of the almost identical article Java. Overlapping information (especially if there were contradictions) in different articles IMHO can only confuse the reader and is hard to maintain.

Any objections?

No objections from my side. I haven't gone through both in detail to see what information we would be missing if we delete this page, but at first sight it indeed is massively overlapping. That, and Java is much shorter (and thus easier to use) than Java User Guide. The Java page is also already translatable so a prime candidate to keep.
