That's the way /usr/share/portage/config/repos.conf comes, so yes, it is the default and therefore most-likely needed. --Maffblaster (talk) 22:12, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

You didn't read the article very closely, Charles. There was a change in the format of what is now --webrsync at version 2.2.19. The statement needs to stay there for the benefit of long time users of the Gentoo packages. --Davidbryant (talk) 15:27, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
