This sounds more like a proposal for a category. As a category is updated with page listings that an author includes, there isn't much need for a main list particularly when a page is later gone or complete. --Grknight (talk) 15:40, 6 December 2021 (UTC)

Could be. The idea is to draw attention to pages that authors want to make more rapid progress on, for more chance of anyone pitching in. The hope was to let editors put forward key articles that they want to get quickly up to scratch, and a place where anyone coming to editing might find inspiration to make changes. Because the category pages are just lists without any description, a page where custom explanations for what pages are aiming for seemed able to better present things.
I've asked for comment in #gentoo already, because I realize that it is in part redundant, but I think it could have it's use over what already exists. There is Template:WIP, for example, but it seems to often have long term, more or less solitary efforts.

Closing discussion, to reduce open discussions a tiny bit, feel free to reopen. I hear what you are saying Grknight, I've been considering the potential usefulness of this a bit more. All the best. -- Kyoreln (talk) 02:51, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
