Checksum

When I checked against livecd of gentoo I got opposite result with sha256 checksum, see following:

  • livecd ~ # sha256sum /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/board.bin /mnt/gentoo/lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/board.bin

Strang is that liveCD network wifi works just fine. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Archenroot (talkcontribs) 17:24, 29 October 2017‎

Archenroot , would you mind doing the legwork to see if we need to make any changes to this article and then close up the discussion when you're done? I don't think I have the hardware to test. Thanks for your help around the wiki! --Maffblaster (talk) 21:37, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

Generic wiki page for ath10k devices?

I am not sure if maintaining a wiki page specifically for the QCA6174 is a good idea. I think a page "ath10k_wifi" or similar could be made for all ath10k driven chipsets (QCA6174(A), QCA9377, QCA9880, etc.) with differences listed in individual sections if necessary. What is the consensus on this? Chithanh (talk) 10:55, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn (Chithanh) I'm in favor of the idea. Once we create the new Ath10k page, I'd press for making a redirect from this page to the specific subsection of the new page that ideas with the Atheros QCA6174. Thanks for helping around the wiki! --Maffblaster (talk) 21:34, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
