Touchpad and ACPI

> As of 4.18.2, everything is functional with the exception of the touchpad I'd like to point out it seems more or less solved now. Touchpad seems to work, at least in my and several other cases.

I wasn't able to test anything on Gentoo yet, but I loaded Ubuntu with "noacpi" and "ivrs_ioapic[32]=00:14.0" options in grub.cfg, at the end of "linux" string. It's pretty interesting that this article doesn't point ACPI issues on loading.

My test configuration is:

* Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
* Lenovo 330s 15arr laptop
* 4.19.5 kernel
* ELAN 469D touchpad is visible in acpidump output

Doesn't seem like there's anything to discuss here. Closing. --Maffblaster (talk) 22:45, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
