Could someone without ZFS as root test this? I don't get anything, I guess its because the rootfs isn't early enough available... Disi 18:14, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Tested on ext4 with a encrypted LVM (luks) and I do not have a issue with the rootfs not being available early enough despite having to enter a password on boot. --Citizenkepler (talk) 20:30, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Grub:2 is still hardmasked, so this should at least have instructions for grub:0 as well. — yngwin (wiki admin) 06:33, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

I don't have grub:0 installed, regarding portage grub:2 is in unstable (for the next ~20 days) and not hard masked? http://en.znurt.org/sys-boot/grub Disi
Right, sorry, I have it locally masked. Still, most users are probably on grub:0. — yngwin (wiki admin) 10:03, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

pybootchartgui

The section of this ominous "pybootchartgui" leaves the user in the dust. Is this a script? Is it installed with bootchart2?

Sure, the advanced user might have a look at https://github.com/dpaleino/bootchart2 instead of searching the file through the system drive but this repo leaves me in the dust as well. There is a setup.py. Should I run a setup.py on my gentoo system? What does it install? Another bootchart2 instance or just pybootchartgui? --Pauledd (talk) 06:32, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
