Kernel version

Talk status
This discussion is done as of 2022-09-27.

The table listing hardware components has a column Kernel version. In most cases, for a given laptop, all its components would run on the same kernel version. So why not remove that column?

Certain hardware driver support is only available after a certain kernel version (think graphics support, NIC adapters, etc.), so it's nice to keep the kernel version column for those kinds of cases. --Maffblaster (talk) 04:19, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

Access to boot menu

Talk status
This discussion needs help as of 2024-06-01.
Tip: To get this fixed sooner, use {{Proposal}}.

The template should provide a section or table column where to put the exact information how the boot menu of the specific hardware can be accessed, see EFI_System_Partition#UEFI_boot_items. --Vaukai (talk) 14:53, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
