This proposed template is not necessary as the internal special page Special:MyLanguage does something similar. MyLanguage goes to the person's selected language or falls back to English if it does not exist. --Grknight (talk) 20:19, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

That would also be my position on the subject. It should be preferred to use wiki style links instead of a template. If anything, the Wiki software itself should be changed. My guess is that enhancements are always welcomed.

Yet, multiple pages are already being changed to use this template for all links. Is this a good idea? Is there consent?

After reviewing the options, the wiki team is going to use this template to automatically link to translated pages along with {{Anchor}} to have minimal work for translators (once fully implemented) as new pages are created. --Grknight (talk) 15:49, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
