Do I understand correctly that the article provides specs for a different laptop manufactured by a different company (Dell)? --Lars Hint (talk) 14:42, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- I'm really sorry, since it's my first laptop page I used another one as a template, I copy and pasted sections. Everything is correct except that line you are talking about. These are the specs for the Xiaomi RedmiBook 14 Pro 2024, I edited the page to correct the mistake Sircipherz (talk) 15:54, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification, we all make mistakes like this from time to time, it's normal. :)
- Anyway, is there a reason you decided to use an existing article instead of the blueprint? Is there something missing in it? --Lars Hint (talk) 17:13, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- I also used that blueprint, but the main reason I worked from the Dell XPS article was because of the menuconfig configuration that I did not want to screw Sircipherz (talk) 08:45, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- I see. Feel free to edit the Blueprint and add any examples you think it lacks. I think this should be easier to do from a new contributor's perspective. The menuconfig configuration can't be screwed up, as the wiki doesn't define any special rules for indentation or anything else. We also have a new template: {{KEntry}}, which should be preferred, see {{KernelBox}} for an example. Also, Gentoo_Wiki:Guidelines#Avoid first and second person writing. --Lars Hint (talk) 09:41, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
