Installation:
Start Here: https://www.snort.org/documents Gentoo offers net-analyzer/snort-2.9.17-r1. Once Snort3 is offered, we will move to that. Snort3 rules have more options to apply alert/block actions. {snip} If your system is "sane", it will install snort on your system. Nothing will happen until you get some rules and invoke snort. Onward!!!

Thanks for the heads up, and the clean up. Portage will recognize atoms and flags in any file under /etc/portage/package*. This way you don't clobber as much if you drop a > ! --Persistence Pays (talk) 19:22, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
