I have cleaned up and updated this page to reflect the current process required to get a midi controller working on Gentoo. If there are no objections, I will be removing the "dirty" flag from this page. Pudding (talk) 03:18, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

JACK usage

I just added a command example to start timidity as a JACK server. According to the man page, the -Oj parameter is used to selecs the output mode from the compiled-in alternatives. When I use it like into the example command, I get "Couldn't start JACK device (`j')", but it work as expected. What is strange is than we can find that example all over the internet in other wikis. I will ask the timidity team about that issue before making more editing. --DominiqueMichel (talk) 14:04, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
