It is generally correct to use the lastest kernel headers. However when the gap between kernel and header versions are too big, the lastest compatible kernel header should be used. For example, on RHEL 5 with linux-2.6.18, no headers older than 2.6.19 should be used. --Heroxbd (talk) 06:47, 9 May 2016 (UTC)
