  • By default collectd generates the RRD files as root:root with a umask 0077. This makes it impossible for non-root to access these files. How should this be handled?

In general, Gentoo users ought not be afraid of using root privileges. So just /bin/su - root and then chmod the file whose permissions you want to reset. --Davidbryant (talk) 19:35, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
