The example bashrc given on this article seems overly complex for a general wiki article on this subject. I recommend replacing it with a simpler example. --Floppym (talk) 17:55, 27 July 2016 (UTC)

Yeah that's an old copy of my bashrc from before we had per-package rcfiles. I should probably make a page for the various /etc/portage/env/* bashrc files (or document them here) and come up with a simpler example for the global bashrc. --Ormaaj (talk) 04:23, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
I'll just take out that whole section for now. My example wasn't very illustrative. Feel free to come up with something better. The problem is I probably wouldn't use this file unless doing something complicated enough to require it. --Ormaaj (talk) 04:34, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
