I think we're ready to add sections for Grub2 (which works) and Petitboot -- veremit (talk) 09:59, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
- See GRUB on Open Firmware (PowerPC), but I also think that GRUB should be included in the handbook.

- Yaboot no longer works on PowerMac G5 hardware (I've heard reports of mac ppc32 users having issues too) so I have wrote a guide that should be suitable as a cut and paste replacement at User:Immolo/NewWorldGRUB

- Immolo (Immolo) , do you mind if I clean up that article a bit? It needs 2nd person wording removed for example. I would feel better if a PPC dev OK'd this page (or at least several users) as it deals with disks and booting. --Grknight (talk) 18:18, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- Brian Evans (Grknight) , Yes this OK or better yet, please list what needs fixing and I'll do the changes myself so I can learn how to write better documentation in the future. I've shown this to sam_ and gyakovlev and I believe the outcome was to get the writing style checked over as we proven with multiple users that the guide works for new users on both PPC32 and PPC64, however feel free to confirm that for yourself with them both.

- Brian Evans (Grknight) , This was signed off by gyakovlev via IRC and he asked me to pass this message on. "<gyakovlev> Can you tell Grknight that on behalf of ppc64 teamled your page is blessed and deemed technically correct and should be added to handbook asap? =)"
