I used way too many hours finding out how to connect to our university's (https://www.tuni.fi/en) network roam.fi and eduroam. Finally I got a working script for NetworkManager and wanted to share it.

However, eduroam is an international project and I'm not an expert on WPA2 Enterprise. I also am not able to test it outside our university - e.g. with authentication credentials from other universities - which makes this page incomplete.

I hope that this configuration helps someone not to waste multiple days figuring out how to connect a Linux machine to eduroam and that this page grows to a comprehensive guide for eduroam student network.
