Some notes from reading the ENISA Algorithms, Key Sizes and Parameters Report
- Symmetric ciphers: use AES or Camellia, use minimum of 128bit (page 24)
- Hash functions: SHA-2 (256bit, 384bit, 512bit), Whirlpool
- public key signature: RSA-PSS [282] (rel to gpg???) but no (EC)DSA (page 49f)
Finally, we note that the recommendations above, and indeed all analysis in this document, is on
the basis that there is no breakthrough in the construction of quantum computers.
