The audio drivers must be built as modules otherwise the speakers will not work.
On my machine, it works with the drivers built-in, not as modules. Perhaps something else is needed to get them to work built-in? MrRoy3 (talk)
- Hmm, interesting. I'll step through the lsmod and see if I can narrow it down. I may have added an additional module: snd_hda_codec_realtek. Do you have that enabled, too? --TitanOfOld (talk) 15:28, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I have the following (built-in): CONFIG_SND_HDA_INTEL, CONFIG_SND_HDA_RECONFIG, CONFIG_SND_HDA_PATCH_LOADER, CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_REALTEK, CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_HDMI and CONFIG_SHD_HDA_GENERIC. However, I am not sure if all of those are required. MrRoy3 (talk) 15:34, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
- And I've tried again with in-built drivers and it works just fine. I bet I was missing the Realtek codecs. --TitanOfOld (talk) 13:17, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
