Project:RelEng/LiveCD/2005.0
This guide serves as the definitive source for all 2005.0 information.
Goals
Following up on the highly successful 2004.3 release, the Release Engineeing team is taking steps into new directions for 2005. The main focus of this release is to continue to improve the quality of our release media, and also to explore some new possibilities with our media.
Several architectures will be creating lots of new release media, which will be available as experimental media.
The Release Engineering team has identified the following key focus areas:
- Smaller InstallCD images
- Improved QA processes
- Improved inter-architecture cooperation
- Single Snapshot across all architectures
