This page contains advice how to best chair a council session. It should be treated as informal advice, not official policy.
Before the meeting
- Two weeks before the meeting, send out as a new thread a call for agenda topics to the gentoo-project mailing list.
- One week before the meeting, write together an agenda for the meeting and send it as a new thread to the gentoo-project mailing list.
- Set the topic of #gentoo-council to contain a link to the meeting agenda (e.g., on the gmane archive of gentoo-project).
Typical agenda format
- Roll call
- Topic A
- Topic B
- Topic C
- ...
- Bugs with council involvement
- Open floor
