I have completely changed the instructions for how to do /testcases because the way it was being done:

  1. caused the template sandbox version to appear in regular template categories alongside the regular (non-sandbox) templates, which is confusing (since sandbox templates should never be used in articles!); and
  2. kept examples of incorrect template usage hidden away from the eyes of regular editors.

Even editors who simply want to use the templates — as opposed to changing the templates — could benefit from seeing examples where a template is used incorrectly. After all, many editors have a hard time using templates, so they need additional guidance about what is right and wrong when calling a template. - dcljr (talk) 10:17, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
