There needs to be a high level overview of the qt systems since qt3. Basically, it appears qt3, qt4 (with some limited supported for qt3 vis the use "qt3support3") and qt5 are not backward compatible. It would be helpful if users who will be importing packages that rely on qt understand from a high level about the inter-relationships of these and the tools to finesse through the potential conflicts.
What does qt3support do, and is it advisable to have that in a user's USE flags in make.conf?
What does qtchooser do? Should I have it installed at the outset?
Can you have qt4 and qt5 installed together and will everything that uses either or both of these libraries play nicely together?
I've found more emerge interruptions arising from qt issues and I feel as if my lack of knowledge about the qt systems as staged within Gentoo is hindering me from accomplish the goal of emerging a package (that happens to rely upon a qt library).
