Userspace drafts and article blueprints

Greetings, Carel! Thanks for creating a new article on our wiki. It is usually better to draft your article in your user space rather than in main wiki space. Also, you might want to take a look at the Article blueprints as you create new articles. They provide a nice structure to help create new ones. Kind regards, --Maffblaster (talk) 16:59, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Updates, ebuilds and whatnot

Hi Carel, I was just recommended to investigate Octoprint as an alternative to repetier, and I was talking with _anomaly_ on IRC about the prospect of making a Gentoo ebuild. It looks like the mechanical aspects of the setuptools/python are quite easy to set up, and I'm delighted to see you've got much more of the 'install' stuff figured out. So, if you wanted a hand getting an ebuild together, and submitted for review, we've re-invigorated the #gentoo-3dprint channel that Amynka once set up (3D-print lead) and hopefully we can get some more traction under 3D printing support under Gentoo. I've been myself trying to push for stabilisation of a few key packages, to demonstrate we're serious about this! -- veremit (talk) 00:59, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
