On Full Disk Encryption From Scratch Simplified‎‎ it is *not* required to specify root= in GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX because root will have already been determined by grub-mkconfig. There is no need to specify it again. --Grknight (talk) 19:34, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
