xfce-extra/xfce4-mixer doesn't seem to exist anymore, but there are xfce4-alsa-plugin and xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin. I'd change it, but I don't know how this wiki works and I'm scared the Gentoo version of Linus Torvalds is going to come yell at me

Display manager SLiM abandoned
x11-misc/slim has not been updated since 2013 and its Gentoo Wiki page considers it as abandoned. I would recommend users to use different DM. I've personally used x11-misc/lightdm and it works for me, but it would be great if there were consensus on which DM to recommend to XFCE users before editing it.

Closing discussion, Grknight has cleaned up the display manager chapter on 13 April 2021. Issue is no longer present. --Hemmond (talk) 07:44, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
