i just changed it to "aircrack-ng ready" though i think thats inappropriate, & ad-hoc + mon + AP modes would be more appropriate... ill let a more experienced wiki poster research & determine if that is correct or not. i seen broadcom-sta has monitor mode chopped out on purpose, though im not sure if its firmware or not. i know of several broadcom drivers and let aircrack determine what i have installed for me. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by 666threesixes666 (talkcontribs) 25 May 2013

This page doesn't appear to actually describe how to list networks, nor how to connect to one, nor how to set this infomation in the config files to automatically connect?
I'll add it if/when I get a chance but maybe this note will remind someone else to do it sooner. --Djsmiley2k (talk) 20:16, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

net-wireless/crda

Some discussion of net-wireless/crda could be added on this page, both explaining what it is, explaining that it might need to be installed, and explaining that it can be embedded within the kernel (possibly?). I don't feel I can speak authoritatively on it, otherwise I would contribute something here. Sielicki (talk) 20:10, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

Sounds like it could be an idea. I don't know anything at all about this though, and nobody seems to have taken it up in a few years, so I'm going to close the discussion - Help:Talk_pages#Closing_discussions.
There is really no need to be authoritative on a subject to make a contribution - even just adding a link or a sentence mentioning a point of interest can help. Feel free to check out the Gentoo_Wiki:Contributor's_Guide if you have anything at all that could be of use ;).

The link https://kmuto.jp/debian/hcl/ is broken, are there alternatives?
