Dagb writes at Razer_Blade_Pro_(2019)#External_graphics: (Update August 2020: driver 450.57 + xorg-server 1.20.8 lifts this restriction. Intel gfx and external displays now work.)

I can confirm that this works now:

However, after setting the output source and adding an external display the Xorg process constantly uses > 30% CPU and the system feels overall sluggish. Do you experience the same? Is this expected behavior or some regression? Any idea where do look first: Xorg, intel driver, nvidia driver? — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dschooh (talkcontribs)

I do not run with an external display on a daily basis. In fact, I only tested this briefly. Not well versed in instrumenting xorg-server or kernel, sorry.
