Isn't EM64T the older (former) name for "Intel 64"? Intel, hesitant to implement a 64-bit x86 in the first place (since they had IA-64, i.e. Itanium), started to go with AMD's x86-64 (released as AMD64) as "IA-32e" (for "Intel Architecture 32-Bit extensions"), then as EM64T ("Extended Memory 64 Technology") and as of 2006 as "Intel 64" (just like AMD64).
Therefore, shouldn't EM64T be changed to Intel 64?

- Looks like this issue has been solved, since I don't see any mention of EM64T. Closing.

- Well, in Project:AMD64's "Project" template, named "AMD64 Development", the description still reads:
- "The AMD64 Project is devoted to providing stable, secure and up-to-date releases of Gentoo for the AMD64 and EM64T processor families."

It should also be made clear to the reader, that alternative terms for AMD64 are x86-64 and x64.
