Linking to a category in an edit summary
Talk status
This discussion is done.
To create a link to a category in an edit summary, use a leading colon before the category name
What happens if I don't do it? I did it when I joined the wiki, but I completely forgot about it after a while, so all my recent edit summaries do not have the leading colon. What damage have I done? Something visible only to administrators? --Lars Hint (talk) 15:45, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- This is on me. After transitioning the article over to using {{Link}} instead of [[]], that section would have become obsolete, so I used it as an opportunity to cover linking in edit summaries. I regrettably forgot to remove the part about colons.
- I will fix it.
