This is a list of all the stuff (that I can remember, up until 10 June 2025, whereafter I started writing these things down for future memory :)) that I've had to face in order to get stuff working that I want on Gentoo! This is somewhat of a memoir of the suffering I've endured, which has surely been vastly less thanks to the help of those who've already braved the dragons before me, and also a testament and cautionary tale of the fact that Gentoo should not be trusted to just work, noting that nearly none of this was needed when working on Mint.

But, partly because of the fun of hacking, and partly because of the love of the game, I have nevertheless enjoyed being tortured by Gentoo, and hence I am hoping to write down every detail that I possibly can about my journey in the interest of documenting this for potential future installs, and just for fun!
