Hi, I'm Kiril! I first got into Gentoo back in 2021, but I never managed to stick with it due to a number of factors, but, now that Windows 10 has gone end-of-life, I'm using Gentoo instead. I'm very excited about all the learning opportunities Gentoo can offer and look forward to doing what I can to help out on this wiki too!
You can find me on Wiktionary as well, under the same name as here. My hobbies include languages, programming, hacking Gentoo/Vim..., exercise, and reading.

Software stack
- Gentoo (source kernel)
- EFI boot stub with baked-in root=PARTUUID param to avoid bootloading
- kexec syscall to try to accelerate rebooting (is it actually that much faster...? hmm...)
- dwm
- doas
- No .xinitrc so far – managed to get by with just .dwmrc!
- Picom to help that awful screen-tearing!
- ALSA for sound (probably need PipeWire though...)
- Neovim
- qutebrowser
- Zen browser, for when qutebrowser's minimalism is not the right play.
- syncthing for synchronising my books between laptop and desktop.
- Anki for study.
- calibre for reading.
